Weaver - Pri WA - Plant SP (Chickamauga, GA) - B Shift
Position Overview:
To work safely, practice good housekeeping, minimize loom downtime, and maintain the production of first quality fabric with the maximum amount of production and a minimal amount of off-quality.
Responsibilities:
Start-up and shut down looms
Repair filling breaks
Repair missing warp ends
Monitor doff target
Creel filling packages
Inspecting fabric, checking for quality defects
Perform all housekeeping duties as assigned by the supervisor
Filling out paperwork
Must be a team player
Must communicate effectively with department supervisor
Requirements:
Must be able to bend, squat, and stoop several times a day
Must be able to stand for 12 hours a day
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis throughout the day
Must pass a vision test
Must be able to raise arms over shoulder height
Basic reading, writing, and math ability
Must be capable of learning and performing additional operations
Must be capable of being trained on current computer systems and software
Must be able to use various forms, reports, and checklists
Must be capable of learning and driving a plant industrial lift truck
